Popular synth patch gurus Ultimate Patches have announced a much requested new set of professional-quality presets for the Wave. The 200 next-level Wave patches plus a free Taster Pack from the collection are coming September 2026.

A new firmware update is now available. Wave version 1.0.11 introduces 2 additional envelope shapes (linear, exponential), extended transient lengths as well as new transients, updated presets, and minor bug fixes.

6 years after we first posted about Behringer's efforts in making an authentic PPG Wave clone, it has finally arrived, soon available in stores Check out the specifications and sound demo video, which demonstrates that Behringer has successfully cloned the look and unique sound of the PPG Wave.

We finally have a new update on the Behringer PPG Wave clone, with Behringer sharing more info: "We have just completed the latest revision, which will now be sent to our beta testers for final approval. Replicating the unique architecture of the original unit made the firmware development extremely complex. We’re confident we’ve nailed this synth and aim to ship it in a few months."
And another surprise: the new synth images reveal the synth has been renamed from BBG to Wave.

We predicted this back in 2018 (posted here on the news page). As reported in the Behringer Wave User Group on Facebook, Behringer has now revealed their PPG Wave clone called the Behringer BBG. Looking very authentic, we can't wait to get more info on this clone - and we will post more news as it comes. Stay tuned!

As reported in the Behringer Wave User Group (group membership required to view), Behringer has posted an image of a layout document of a famous synth, asking users to guess what it is. Based on the layout, we know what it is: a PPG Wave clone in the works at Behringer!

Behringer has just purchased a treasure trove of classic 80s synths owned by 80s pop icons Tears For Fears. What could this foreshadow? Behringer clones of the PPG Wave, Prophet 5 and Yamaha DX1? We'll keep you posted.
